Learning delivery is adapted to the custodial context, with paper-based delivery and controlled classroom settings. About the Role: 

Location: Melbourne Assessment Prison 
Role Type: Sessional (flexible with the days) 
Remuneration:   starting at $ 91.42 per hour (dependent on qualifications) 

 

We are looking for a Sessional IT Teacher at Melbourne Assessment Prison.  This role requires a confident, self-sufficient educator who can thrive in a highly independent teaching environment. You will be delivering Certificate II in Information Technology to learners, adapting your approach to support individuals with diverse learning needs. 

Working as part of a small, collaborative team of three, you will primarily operate independently, with the autonomy to manage your own classes and schedule. The role involves a mix of one-on-one support and small group facilitation, requiring strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage learners at varying levels. 

We are seeking someone with previous experience working in corrections who understands the environment and can navigate it with professionalism, resilience, and flexibility. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with minimal supervision and confident in creating a structured, supportive learning experience for students.
