Remuneration: starting $ 83,367.00 plus 12% super (dependent on qualifications, pro rata)
About The Role:
As a Numeracy Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in helping students gain essential literacy, numeracy and digital skills, setting them up for success in their vocational studies and future careers. Working closely with vocational teaching teams, you will design and deliver tailored learning experiences that align with students’ industry pathways.
This is a hands-on role where you will engage students in meaningful, practical learning—building their confidence in applying literacy and numeracy in real-world scenarios.
You will be:
- Developing and delivering engaging, customised learning experiences that support students’ literacy and numeracy development
- Supporting learners to build confidence and competence in literacy and numeracy
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress, assessments, and compliance documentation
- Creating a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learner needs
- Ensure compliance with national VET quality standards and BKI policies

We are excited about you because you have:
- TAESS00009 Address Foundation Skills in Vocational Practice Skill Set (or equivalent) or TAE80113 Graduate Diploma of Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Practice (and its equivalent TAE70111); or Bachelor of Education, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Education,) or higher
- Completed Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Relevant experience in teaching literacy and numeracy
- Experience delivering training in adult education or vocational settings (beneficial)
- Effective communication skills for working in correctional settings
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to teach independently
- Commitment to safety, inclusion, and learner success
The Essential Paperwork: Working with Children Clearance (WWCC), Current police check, Certified right to work documentation, Certified copies of your qualifications and transcripts
