Location: Fulham Correctional Centre  

Role Type: Part Time (0.6/ 3 days a week), Ongoing

Salary (FTE):  $80,939.00 - $123,284.00 Plus Super (Dependent on qualifications and teaching experience)

As a Construction Teacher, you will deliver high-quality training and assessment in Civil Construction and Pre-Apprenticeship programs to adult learners within a correctional setting. Your role will include:

 

  • Delivering accredited civil construction and pre-apprenticeship training aligned with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Supporting learners to build confidence and competence in construction skills and workplace readiness.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress, assessments, and compliance documentation.
  • Creating a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learner needs.

 

You’ll be part of a supportive team committed to providing vocational education that empowers learners and contributes to safer communities.

 

What We’re Looking For:

 

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40110 / TAE40116 / TAE40122) OR currently enrolled and completing.
  • Relevant and current civil construction experience (essential).
  •  Experience delivering training in adult education or vocational settings (beneficial but not essential).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a correctional environment.
  • Commitment to safety, inclusion, and learner success.
