About The Role:
As a Cultural Learning Support Tutor (internally known as Koorie Tutor), you’ll work closely with teachers to provide one-on-one and group support to Indigenous students. You’ll act as a mentor and guide, helping students engage with their learning, build confidence, and prepare for life beyond custody.

 

You will:

  • Provide culturally responsive academic support
  • Assist students with coursework and learning strategies
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with learners
  • Help students develop confidence and a sense of purpose

  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
  • An understanding of the importance of cultural identity and community connection
  • Great communication skills and a compassionate listener
  • A commitment to inclusive, respectful education practices
  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is a bonus, but not essential
