About The Role:

BKI is seeking a Community Service teacher to join our Health and Community Centre of Excellence (HACCOE) Department at Broadmeadows Campus to teach and inspire the next generation!

 

You will be working in state-of-the-art facilities, equipped with simulated labs to train professionals within the community sector. Our staff bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to educate and help our students grow.

We are excited about you because you have:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willing to enrol

 

One (or multiple) of the following qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Community Services
  • Diploma of Community Services
  • Certificate IV in Mental Health
  • Diploma of Youth Work
  • Diploma of Counselling
  • Bachelor of Community Services

 

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Possess a high-level specialist knowledge, skills and competencies especially regarding laws affecting clients, the range of services available to them and health issues in the community services sector
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel etc
  • Has an understanding of cultural sensitivity and respects and values difference
  • Can identify language, literacy and numeracy issues
  • Can adapt communication style to suit audience and context
  • Ability to build constructive relationships with stakeholders
  • Understands the concepts and practices underpinning digital and blended learning and applies as a supplement to the learning program
  • Ability to use digital learning for administrative functions, to communicate, collaborate and for presentations
  • Provision (and maintenance) of current driver's license where relevant
