About us

At Bendigo Kangan Institute (BKI), we change lives through the power of education and skills. As a Victorian public TAFE and public sector entity, BKI brings together Bendigo TAFE, Kangan Institute, VETASSESS and eWorks to deliver future-ready skills, training, assessment and lifelong learning opportunities.

As a public sector education entity, BKI operates in a complex, regulated and purpose-led environment, supporting learners, industry and communities across Victoria. This role will help shape the structures, ways of working and workforce foundations needed to deliver our ambitions in a complex, multi-campus public vocational education environment.

The Opportunity
We’re looking for two Events Coordinators to join our team and help bring more than 70 events each year to life across Bendigo Kangan Institute.

Working closely with the Events Lead, Marketing team and stakeholders across BKI, you’ll coordinate a diverse calendar of events including open days, expos, graduations, awards nights and major flagship events.

This is a varied, hands-on role that combines detailed event coordination with active onsite delivery. You’ll be there to help bring each event to life, supporting venue set-up, bump-in and bump-out, arranging signage and displays, moving event materials and ensuring everything is ready for attendees.

Alongside the physical delivery of events, you’ll develop run sheets, coordinate suppliers, manage event communications, oversee merchandise and materials, and respond to issues as they arise on the day.

You’ll need to be comfortable balancing multiple priorities, working on your feet and travelling regularly between our metropolitan and regional campuses. Some early starts, evening and weekend work will also be required.

If you enjoy being in the middle of the action, take pride in creating well-run experiences and are willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done, we’d love to hear from you.
