Role: Nursing Teacher – Diploma of Nursing

Location: Echuca

Role Type: Part-time, Ongoing (0.4 FTE and 0.6 FTE available)

Remuneration: From $113,000 salary (pro-rata) plus 12% superannuation (qualification dependent)

About Us

BKI is seeking two passionate Diploma of Nursing Teachers to join our Health and Community Centre of Excellence (HACCOE) team at our Echuca Campus, supporting the delivery of a new Diploma of Nursing program and inspiring the next generation of nurses.

About the Role

You will deliver high-quality vocational education and competency-based assessment for the Diploma of Nursing. Teaching is primarily on-site at the Echuca Campus, supported by dedicated administrative and technical support. Students will participate in simulation-based learning, including sessions conducted in partnership with Echuca Hospital.

Available positions include:

• 0.4 FTE

• 0.6 FTE

Class times are 9:00am–3:30pm with standard working hours of 8:30am–4:30pm.

You will attend professional development days and staff meetings in Bendigo approximately 1–2 times per term and will be supported in fortnightly in-person visits with the Program Lead Nursing.

We Are Excited About You Because You Have

• Bachelor of Nursing
• Current AHPRA registration
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110/16/22)
• Digital teaching capability
• Postgraduate nursing qualification (desirable)

Experience and Knowledge

• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel etc
• Has an understanding of cultural sensitivity and respects and values difference
• Is able to identify language, literacy and numeracy issues
• Can adapt communication style to suit audience and context
• Ability to build constructive relationships with stakeholders
• Has an understanding of the concepts and practices underpinning digital and blended learning
• Provision (and maintenance) of current driver's license where relevant
