Program Lead - Licensed Vehicle Testers

Location: Docklands, Onsite
Role Type: Part time (0.6 FTE) fixed term for 12 months (days will be discussed with candidate) 
Remuneration:   $ 146,516.16 (inclusive of 12% super, pro rata)  

About the Role: 

As a Program Lead for the Licensed Vehicle Tester program, you will deliver high‑quality training and assessment for Licensed Vehicle Tester (LVT) program on behalf of Victoria’s Department of Transport and Planning.  You will work with technical experts and training teams to ensure that participants receive accurate, industry‑relevant and engaging instruction. 

You will contribute to the delivery and continuous improvement of programs that support the integrity of Victoria’s vehicle safety and compliance framework. 

You will be expected to leverage the experience and networking skills you have gained to develop the business and quality opportunities to enhance the program.

Who We’re Looking For: 

• Extensive experience training, or conducting inspections, of light vehicles, heavy vehicles and buses for roadworthiness in Victoria
• Strong understanding of relevant Victorian vehicle legislation
• Solid knowledge of the Australian Design Rules (ADR)
• Solid understanding of the Victorian Vehicle Assessment Signatory Scheme (VASS)
• Demonstrated experience authoring, or contributing to the authoring of, technical training or learning materials
• Desirable Qualifications and Credentials: 
  - Automotive apprenticeship qualification (Certificate III or higher in automotive servicing and repair)
  - Current LVT licence
  - Current VASS licence
  - Completed Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
