About The Role:

The Business Development Partner (Internally known as Industry Partner) is a newly created role within our Industry Solutions team, responsible for driving growth by developing strong relationships with private-sector employers and supporting them with tailored training and assessment solutions.

 

You will play a key part in expanding our market presence by working with corporate clients—including ASX‑listed organisations—and partnering internally across BKI to develop impactful, evidence‑based solutions.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with corporate clients to understand workforce needs
  • Managing client accounts and nurturing long‑term relationships
  • Proactive business development including cold‑calling and outbound engagement
  • Developing high‑quality proposals and presentations
  • Working collaboratively with Kangan Institute teams to develop customised training solutions
  • Supporting tender submissions and commercial proposals
  • Ensuring excellent written and verbal communication standards across all interactions

  • 2+ years’ experience in the education or training sector (highly regarded)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated capability in business development or B2B relationship management
  • Industry connections and an understanding of training packages (advantageous)
  • Experience working with corporate Australia and engaging senior stakeholders
  • A customer‑centric mindset and the ability to build trust quickly
