About The Role:

As the Contracts & Procurement Officer, you will deliver high-quality procurement and contract management services across the Institute, ensuring best practice, compliance, and value-for-money outcomes.

You’ll act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, while playing a key role in strengthening procurement frameworks and organisational capability.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading end-to-end procurement activities, including planning, sourcing, evaluation, negotiation and contract management
  • Providing expert advice to management and staff on procurement strategy, probity, and compliance
  • Developing and improving procurement policies, procedures, tools and training programs
  • Managing supplier relationships, contracts, and procurement systems to ensure strong governance and compliance
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and deliver strategic value
  • Supporting stakeholders through complex go-to-market processes and legislative requirements

 

About You

You’re a strategic procurement professional who thrives on influence, problem-solving, and delivering measurable value.

 

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in procurement and contract management, ideally in a public sector or complex environment
  • Strong expertise in end-to-end sourcing, probity, and contract lifecycle management
  • Proven ability to provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders and guide complex procurements
  • Experience managing high-value procurement processes, including negotiation and market engagement
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills
  • High-level digital capability, including procurement systems and Microsoft
