Position: VCE Teacher – with Student Success Responsibilities

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate VCE Teacher who is committed to supporting strong learning outcomes for students. This role includes dedicated responsibilities focused on student success, wellbeing, and academic growth.

This role gives students practical, hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for successful pathways into apprenticeships, traineeships, further education, university, or direct employment. You’ll work across both classroom and online learning environments, designing engaging and relevant lessons that meet the needs of individual learners. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and assess high‑quality VCE curriculum in alignment with Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) requirements.
  • Use data-informed teaching practices to improve student engagement, progress, and achievement.
  • Provide targeted support to students, including academic mentoring and intervention where required.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learners.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to refine curriculum, share best practice, and support whole‑school improvement initiatives.
  • Participate actively in professional learning and teacher development activities.

 

About You

  • Current VIT registration
  • Completed Certificate IV in Training and Assessment OR willing to work towards obtaining a TAE qualification
  • Demonstrated experience teaching VCE subjects
  • Strong understanding of assessment practices, curriculum planning, and differentiated instruction.
  • Commitment to supporting student wellbeing and success.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, families, and colleagues
