Location: Broadmeadows, with occasional travel to other campuses

Role Type: Part-time, Fixed-Term until 31 December 2026, 0.6 FTE 22.8 hours per week

Remuneration: Starting from $93,317.04 including super pro-rata

About The Role:

In this hands-on teaching role, you will:

• Deliver engaging face-to-face training for the ACM40418 Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
• Teach practical skills including surgical nursing, dentistry, pathology, reception duties, and customer service.
• Design course materials and assess student competence.
• Support diverse student learning needs.
• Maintain industry currency through professional engagement.
• Keep accurate student records and participate in validation activities.
• Represent the Institute at outreach events like the Dog Lovers Show and Vet Expo.
• Ensure compliance with National VET Quality standards, relevant legislation/regulations, BKI policies, procedures and business rules.

• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in the Veterinary Nursing Industry
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) – mandatory.
• Mental Health First Aid Certificate desirable
• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of welfare and care practices.
• A genuine love for animals and enthusiasm for teaching.
