About The Role:

As a Wellbeing Advisor / Counsellor (internally referred to as a Student Wellbeing Advisor), you’ll have the opportunity to be part of an integrated, student-centred support model that helps students navigate challenges, build resilience and achieve their goals.  while supporting them to remain engaged, connected and successful in their studies.

You’ll deliver holistic, wrap-around support across multiple campuses, combining counselling, case management, crisis response and proactive wellbeing initiatives. Working within a centralised intake model, you’ll triage student needs and connect them to the right support at the right time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working from case management framework, -rovide short-term counselling and wellbeing support using trauma-informed approaches
  • Manage a diverse caseload, including complex wellbeing and psychosocial matters
  • Conduct risk assessments and crisis interventions, including safety planning
  • Participate in centralised intake and triage, directing students to appropriate services
  • Deliver case management and referrals across internal and external supports
  • Contribute to wellbeing programs and proactive initiatives that support retention and engagement
  • Collaborate with staff to provide integrated, student-centred support

 

About You:

  • Qualification in social work, psychology or counselling , with eligibility for professional membership
  • Experience in counselling and/or case management, ideally with young people or diverse cohorts
  • Strong capability in risk assessment, crisis intervention and complex support needs
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed and strengths-based practice
  • Ability to engage effectively with students and stakeholders across a multi-campus environment
