In 2026, BKI will open Hume Tech School at Broadmeadows — a state‑of‑the‑art learning hub delivering immersive STEM experiences for secondary students across the Hume region. Focused on areas such as renewable energy, robotics and automation, entrepreneurship, data analytics and AI, Hume Tech School will connect education with industry and prepare young people for the workforce of the future.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate STEM Facilitator to support the preparation and delivery of engaging, student‑centred programs at Hume Tech School. Working under the guidance of a VIT‑registered teacher, you will help deliver hands‑on learning experiences, support partner schools, and contribute to the day‑to‑day operations of the Tech School — always with a strong focus on student wellbeing and safety.
What You’ll Do
- Support engaging STEM learning experiences for secondary school students
- Assist with program delivery, learner engagement and self‑directed learning
- Work collaboratively with teachers and Tech School staff to support student progress
- Prepare, set up and maintain learning spaces, equipment and resources
- Support professional development activities and continuous improvement of programs
- Promote a safe, inclusive and values‑driven learning environment
What You’ll Bring
- Experience supporting or delivering STEM-focused learning activities
- Ability to engage learners with diverse needs and abilities
- Awareness of current and emerging technologies used in education and industry
- Strong communication skills and a student-centred approach
- Strong organisational skills to support group visits, resources and learning spaces
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence
Desirable
- Qualifications in teaching, STEM or human services
- Experience or interest in educational technology, instructional design or digital media
- Experience engaging diverse cohorts, including priority communities
