About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Sessional Teacher to support our team in delivering foundational courses (VCE Vocational Major) at our Broadmeadows Campus. This innovative 2-year program provides senior secondary students with practical, hands-on learning experiences while preparing them for successful transitions to apprenticeships, traineeships, further education, university, or direct employment.
You will design and deliver high-quality vocational education using varied assessment strategies that support diverse learning styles. You'll work primarily in classrooms, and potentially online environments, creating engaging learning experiences tailored to individual student needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop flexible learning programs that cater to different learning styles and paces
- Deliver practical, hands-on training in various contexts including classrooms and workplace settings
- Create authentic learning experiences that prepare students for real-world applications
- Identify and support students with language, literacy, and numeracy needs
- Plan and assess student learning using diverse methods beyond traditional exams
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with VET quality standards
- Build relationships with industry partners and community stakeholders
- Maintain professional knowledge, industry currency, and vocational competence
