About The Role:
This is a newly created role focused on what support students need and how it is designed, assessed and delivered. As the Senior Access and Equity Advisor, you will take ownership of complex and high-risk student cases, providing expert guidance on reasonable adjustments, compliance and inclusive practice.
You will provide practice leadership and oversight to the Access and Equity team, driving consistent, high-quality and compliant practice across campuses, while uplifting capability through coaching and professional support. Working closely with students, educators and external stakeholders, you will ensure Learning Access Plans are meaningful, evidence-based and support long-term student independence and outcomes.
This role is ideal for an experienced practitioner (e.g. allied health, OT, disability specialist) who enjoys combining hands-on casework with people leadership and practice expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role you will:
- Lead complex case management, including functional needs assessments and support planning
- Oversee and enhance Learning Access Plans to ensure meaningful, outcomes-focused adjustments
- Provide expert advice on disability legislation, compliance and inclusive practice
- Lead and manage a team of Access and Equity Advisors, providing supervision, performance support and capability development
- Partner with educators and stakeholders to implement inclusive learning strategies
- Drive the effective use of assistive technology and emerging tools, including AI
- Contribute to service design, continuous improvement and innovation initiatives
- Build capability across teams through coaching, training and communities of practice
About You:
You’re an experienced practitioner with strong expertise in disability support, inclusive education and navigating complex student needs in a structured environment.
You will also bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Disability, Allied Health, Social Work, Psychology, Education or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in complex case management within education or support services
- Strong working knowledge of disability legislation and reasonable adjustments in practice
- Experience coaching or supporting staff and uplifting team capability
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across multidisciplinary environments
- Experience using or implementing assistive technologies and inclusive tools
- A person-centred, trauma-informed and outcomes-focused approach to student support
