About the Role
As Project and Engagement Officer – Campus Establishment, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of BKI’s new campuses. Working in a small, collaborative team, you’ll lead external engagement with industry, government, schools, and community stakeholders, while coordinating internal consultations to align expectations and prepare for operational readiness. You’ll be on the ground in Melton and Sunbury communities, travelling regularly to engage diverse stakeholders and champion BKI’s vision.
The roles duties will include:
- Building strategic partnerships with external stakeholders to foster collaboration and confidence and encourage vocational education enrolments with BKI.
- Coordinating internal teams to align curriculum and services with community and industry needs.
- Managing project schedules, governance reporting, and documentation to ensure transparency and timely delivery.
- Applying inclusive consultation practices and leveraging data insights to inform decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with industry, education providers, and community groups.
- Coordinate internal collaboration across departments to deliver campus establishment plans.
- Prepare executive briefings, governance reports, and evidence-based recommendations.
- Monitor project risks and opportunities, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
- Promote inclusive and culturally sensitive engagement practices.
Selection Criteria
Essential:
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant experience in people facing project coordination or stakeholder engagement.
- Proven ability to build effective partnerships and negotiate outcomes with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with experience in project management tools and governance reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing high level briefings and reports.
- Demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity to diverse communities.
- Current driver’s licence and ability to travel regularly.
Desirable:
- Experience in TAFE/VET or educational environments.
- Understanding of education trends and technology integration.
- Business acumen and ability to identify new opportunities for student acquisition.
