Location: Broadmeadows Campus (some travel required)
Role Type: Full-time, ongoing
Remuneration: $144k salary plus superannuation

About The Role:

As Program Lead Health - Metro, you will provide educational and operational leadership across a growing portfolio of classroom-based health programs, supporting both teachers and students to achieve high-quality outcomes.

 

Based predominantly onsite at Broadmeadows, you will lead a team of approximately 10 educators, with planned growth across the portfolio. Reporting to the Department Manager and working alongside other Program Leads within the Health Centre of Excellence, you will play a key role in fostering a positive team culture, supporting educator capability, and ensuring consistent, high-quality student experiences.

 

The portfolio includes qualifications across Individual Support, Ageing Support, Disability, Allied Health Assistance, Health Services Assistance and Pathology Collection, delivered through classroom-based programs and selected off-campus initiatives.

 

You will oversee the day-to-day operation of programs, including timetabling, scheduling, student progression, teacher support, resource planning and compliance activities. Working closely with the Department Manager, fellow Program Leads and broader support teams, you will ensure programs are delivered safely, effectively and in line with regulatory and organisational requirements.

 

Success in this role will come from your ability to build strong relationships, create an inclusive and supportive culture, coach educators, and balance operational priorities with a genuine commitment to student success.

 

We are excited about you because you have:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) as a minimum requirement.
  • Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or higher vocational education qualification (desirable).
  • Qualification in one or multiple areas of the health portfolio e.g. Individual Support, Ageing Support, Disability, Allied Health Assistance, Health Services Assistance and Pathology Collection.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience and the ability to build positive, engaged and high-performing teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and values-led leadership approach.
  • Experience supporting teachers, students and operational delivery within a vocational education, training or related learning environment.
  • The ability to manage day-to-day program operations, including timetabling, scheduling and resource coordination.
  • A strong understanding of compliance, quality assurance and continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience within health, community services, disability, aged care or allied health education environments will be highly regarded.
  • Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check clearance.
  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence and willingness to travel between campuses as required.
