About The Role:

In the role of Network and Security Engineer you will lead the design, build, and optimisation of wired and wireless networks, internet connectivity, and security infrastructure.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Prioritise network security, ensuring all network components are safeguarded and aligned with security standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement by contributing to the development of processes, standards, and documentation within the network operations function.
  • Manage and enhance security with firewalls, NAC, SASE, and enforce robust network security protocols.
  • Provide third-level network support to ensure the stability, security, and performance
  • Drive network expansion and optimisation projects
  • Support the growth of Wi-Fi services and enablement the latest security products.
  • Maintain and upgrade existing infrastructure while contributing to a new customer experience strategy.

 

We are excited about you because you have:

  • 10–12 years of experience in network security, ideally within TAFE, universities, banks, insurance, finance, or retail.
  • Strong understanding and implementation experience of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) principles.
  • Scripting/automation for configuration management and repeatable task.
  • Experience with of routing protocols and concepts (Multicast, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, etc) and WAN technologies (SD-WAN, MPLS, VPLS)
  • Advanced Experience in administrating Cisco Wired and Wireless Infrastructure, Zscaler, Cisco DNAC, Cisco ISE, Cisco FTD and VPN services, Palo Alto, Fortinet firewall
  • Demonstrated experience with Azure and AWS Networking implementation, landing zones and design concepts
  • Relevant certifications in network and security technologies (CCNP, Palo alto and Fortinet).
  • A positive attitude and experience with transitional technologies and tool design.
