Bendigo Kangan Institute is looking for qualified plumbers and electricians who are interested in teaching and sharing their skills with the next generation.

We’re inviting Expressions of Interest from people who may be interested in current or future teaching roles at our Broadmeadows campus.

 

About the Role

As a Plumbing or Electrical teacher, you’ll work with apprentices and students, helping them build the skills and knowledge they need for the trade.

Roles will be available on a full-time, part-time or casual basis.

 

What You’ll be Doing

  • Teaching practical and theory-based trade skills
  • Supporting students through their learning
  • Assessing student work and progress
  • Creating a safe, inclusive and supporting learning environment
  • Sharing real-world industry experience with students

 

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • A trade qualification in Plumbing or Electrical
  • Hands-on industry experience
  • An interest in teaching, mentoring or helping others learn
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude

A teaching qualification (TAE40122 or equivalent) is great to have, but not essential. If you don’t have one yet, we can support you to get it.

 

Please note that if you are successful, you will be required to provide the following Essential Paperwork; 

  • Working with Children Clearance (WWCC), 
  • Current police check
  • Certified right to work documentation
  • Certified copies of your qualifications and transcripts (if relevant)
