About The Role

 

As the Department Manager for the Digital Initiatives division, you'll lead the design, development, and implementation of digital programs that transform how we teach, learn, and impact the community. You will champion strategic initiatives, drive cross-campus collaboration, and embed a student-first mindset across the organisation.

This leadership role brings together education, innovation, and technology. It's perfect for someone who can move between big-picture planning and driving results on the ground, while keeping people and outcomes front of mind.

 

We're Looking for someone who has:

 

  • A degree in Information Technology, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in education management, educational technology, or systems implementation
  • Deep understanding of quality and compliance within a VET setting
  • Proven experience in education design, new qualification implementation and continuous improvement of existing courses.
  • Active participation with industry networks, government stakeholders and tertiary bodies, such as Jobs and Skills Councils (JSC).
  • Resolve conflicts constructively and foster a culture of open communication and mutual respect
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing departmental budgets
  • Experience in course management delivery and/or project management delivery within an education setting is highly desirable

 

Key aspects of the role:

 

  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery of digital initiatives
  • Oversee course information accuracy, ensuring alignment with compliance, accreditation, and curriculum standards
  • Provide strong people leadership focused on team development, performance, and wellbeing
  • Promote agile delivery methods and continuous improvement across all projects and systems
  • Help execute strategic initiatives by translating organisational goals into measurable digital outcomes
