Remuneration: $83,367 - $113,730.32 plus 12% superannuation

BKI is seeking a passionate Assessor – Individual Support to join our Health and Community Centre of Excellence (HACCOE) team at to teach prospective healthcare professionals and inspire the next generation!

 

You will be working in ultra-modern facilities, equipped with simulated labs and specialist equipment to assess future healthcare professionals. Our staff bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to educate and help our students grow.

About The Role:

Join a new initiative that recognises real workplace competence. As an Assessor - Individual Support, you will support learners on our Competency Certification Pathway (CCP)—a fast‑track program that validates existing skills and can be completed in as little as three months.

 

This is not a traditional classroom teaching role. You will work one‑on‑one with learners, conduct workplace/site visits, collect and verify evidence, track progress, and assess competence, with occasional lab or workplace interactions as required.

 

The role sits within the Health team, reporting to the program lead, and collaborating closely with colleagues across Health and Community Centre of Excellence department, as the program scales across multiple campuses and disciplines.

 

To be successful, you’ll hold Individual Support qualifications across both Disability and Ageing so you can support diverse learner needs and contexts. You’ll manage a growing learner caseload (currently around 10–20 learners per teacher) and play a key part in refining CCP delivery as enrolments increase.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or more current)
  • Certificate III Individual Support (Ageing and Disability)
  • Current industry work experience in ageing and disability
  • Relevant vocational qualification and/or competencies at least to the level to be delivered and assessed

 

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel etc
  • Has an understanding of cultural sensitivity and respects and values difference
  • Is able to identify language, literacy and numeracy issues
  • Can adapt communication style to suit audience and context
  • Ability to build constructive relationships with stakeholders
  • Has an understanding of the concepts and practices underpinning digital and blended learning and applies as a supplement to the learning program
  • Ability and willingness to use digital learning for administrative functions, to communicate, collaborate and for presentations
  • Provision (and maintenance) of current driver's license where relevant
