Remuneration: $83,367 - $109,407 (pro-rata) (plus 12% Superannuation)

About The Role: 
BKI is seeking an experienced School Based Education Support Teacher to join our Health and Community Centre of Excellence (HACCOE) team at Bendigo Campus to teach and inspire the next generation!
The Health and Community Centre of Excellence delivers high quality health and community training and gives teachers and students access to modern and up to date facilities. 

 

Our teachers are committed to developing skilled graduates by focussing on the application of education theory in real life situations through work placements, training programs and simulated labs. As a teacher you will have access to modern technology and equipment to help students to learn via both guided and real-life experiences through placements. 

 

The key responsibility of this role is to deliver quality vocational education and training and conduct competency-based assessments in specified program (s) in a range of settings including classroom, workplace and online environments.

 

We are excited about you because you have:

  • Certificate III or IV in School Based Education Support (or equivalent) or higher

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or currently enrolled

  • Current Industry experience in School Based Education Support (ESM, LSO, PSO)

  • Relevant vocational qualification and/or competencies at least to the level to be delivered and assessed

 

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Possess a high-level specialist knowledge, skills and competencies especially regarding School Based Education Support

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel etc

  • Understands cultural sensitivity and respects and values difference

  • Can identify language, literacy and numeracy issues

  • Can adapt communication style to suit audience and context

  • Ability to build constructive relationships with stakeholders

  • Understands the concepts and practices underpinning digital and blended learning and applies as a supplement to the learning program

  • Ability to use digital learning for administrative functions, to communicate, collaborate and for presentations

  • Provision (and maintenance) of current driver's license where relevant
