Salary: From $79,743 - $90,944 Plus Super (Based on qualifications and Teaching experience)
About The Role:
In this full-time teaching position, you'll be guiding students through the practical and theoretical aspects of working with heavy diesel engines - particularly in the agricultural and mobile plant sectors. This is not just about textbooks and lectures; it's about turning the workshop into a vibrant learning space where tools, diagnostics, and machinery come alive.
You will deliver quality vocational education and training and conduct competency-based assessments in a range of environments. You will have access to world-class vehicle and engine testing facilities, workshop spaces and a purpose-built auto electrical lab. You will use your experience in the automotive industry to support the student learning experience.
You will:
- Develop and deliver training modules covering heavy diesel systems, focusing on agricultural machinery and mobile plant.
- Lead hands-on sessions exploring hydraulics, electrical systems, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Use your knowledge of AGCO equipment to enrich the learning experience with real-world insights.
- Support students in achieving qualifications that prepare them for high-demand roles across agriculture and plant operations.
- Collaborate with industry partners, fellow educators, and learners to keep training relevant and future ready.
Whether you're already teaching or fresh from the field, we provide professional development and teaching support to help you succeed in the classroom.
We're Looking for someone who has:
- Completed TAE40110 / TAE40116 / TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (OR willing to enrol/ currently completing)
- Mandatory qualification in Agricultural Machinery or Mobile Plant
- Experience in hydraulics, electrical systems, and ideally AGCO equipment like Massey Ferguson or Fendt.
- A practical, solutions-focused mindset and excellent communication skills.
- The most up to date industry currency
- Has a passion to help students excel
- Previous experience in a teaching role is beneficial
