Bendigo Kangan Institute is seeking a passionate and skilled Vocational English Teacher to join our dynamic Vocational English team. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality vocational education and training in English language, with a strong focus on supporting adult migrant learners through the AMEP (Adult Migrant English Program).

 

As a Vocational English Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver Certificate in EAL Frameworks across all levels, helping students improve their English proficiency and achieve settlement goals.
  • Design and facilitate engaging, culturally responsive EAL lessons tailored to learners from diverse backgrounds.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to develop and share high-quality teaching resources.
  • Monitor and assess student progress using formative and summative assessment methods, ensuring learning outcomes are met.
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that celebrates cultural diversity and encourages active participation.
  • Complete all required delivery, assessment, reporting, and resulting documentation in line with institute standards.

Essential Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)
  • A three-year undergraduate degree (or higher) and a postgraduate TESOL qualification (or equivalent)

OR

  • A recognized university degree in education (or equivalent) with a TESOL major
