About The Role:
Bendigo Kangan Institute is seeking an experienced and passionate Sessional Teacher - Beauty to join our Industry and Education team in Bendigo.
This is an exciting opportunity to share your industry knowledge, inspire future beauty professionals and help students build the skills they need for successful careers.
Whether you have teaching experience or are looking to take the next step in your career, we'd like to hear from you if you have strong industry experience and a passion for supporting others to learn.
Drawing on your current industry knowledge and experience, you will deliver engaging face-to-face training and competency-based assessment across Certificate II, Certificate III and Diploma level Beauty programs. You will support students throughout their learning journey by delivering practical and theoretical training, preparing learning materials, assessing student work and contributing to positive learning outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver high-quality vocational education and competency-based assessment in Beauty programs.
- Facilitate engaging classroom and practical learning experiences.
- Prepare lessons, learning resources and assessment activities.
- Assess, mark and grade practical and theoretical student work.
- Support student progression and achievement through effective teaching practices.
- Attend team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain compliance with vocational education standards and organisational requirements.
We are excited about you because you have:
- A Diploma of Beauty Therapy or equivalent relevant vocational qualification.
- Current industry experience in Beauty, with a broad range of practical beauty skills and at least 3 years' industry experience preferred.
- A completed Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116, TAE40122 or equivalent), or eligibility in line with regulatory requirements.
- Experience delivering training, mentoring or coaching others, or a genuine passion for developing future beauty professionals.
- Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
