Role Type: Full-time, ongoing
Remuneration: $142k salary plus superannuation
About The Role:
As Program Lead – Nursing, you will be a key member of the Industry & Education leadership team, responsible for leading the coordination, design, delivery and continuous improvement of the Diploma of Nursing at Bendigo Campus. You will provide educational and people leadership to a team of approximately 12 nursing educators, supporting the delivery of high‑quality learning experiences to around 200 students annually, and ensuring strong student outcomes aligned to industry and regulatory expectations.
Reporting to the Department Manager, you will oversee program quality, student progress and staff performance, including the preparation of reports and active participation in student meetings and related forums. You will play a key role in the development and ongoing management of timetabling, resource planning and operational delivery, ensuring programs run effectively and efficiently across the academic year. Compliance is central to this role, with responsibility for meeting ANMAC accreditation requirements, ASQA standards, relevant legislation, and Bendigo Kangan Institute policies and frameworks.
Working collaboratively with other Program Leads across metropolitan and regional locations, you will contribute to consistent, contemporary and responsive nursing program delivery. The role also involves maintaining and fostering strong relationships with clinical placement providers and industry partners, supporting workforce alignment and continuous improvement. Through inclusive leadership and strong collaboration, you will help build a positive, high‑performing team culture and contribute to broader strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives within Health & Community and the wider organisation.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or higher relevant nursing qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse accreditation via AHPRA
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment or higher vocational education training qualification
- Valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check clearance
Experience:
- Extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of course design, delivery and assessment within a regulated VET environment
- Demonstrated experience leading, engaging and developing teaching teams to achieve high‑quality educational outcomes and organisational targets
- Proven ability to monitor student progress and results, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards
- A strong understanding of auditing and regulatory requirements within vocational education and training
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse groups and manage sensitive matters appropriately
- Strong problem‑solving skills, critical thinking capability and a confident, flexible approach to leading change and continuous improvement
- The ability to work collaboratively across teams and locations, with a current Victorian Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel between campuses as required
