About The Role:
Bendigo Kangan Institute is looking for a detail‑oriented People Operations & HRIS Coordinator on a 3 month contract to provide high‑quality administrative and systems support across our People Operations and HR Systems team.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in HR administration or operations who enjoys working with systems, structured processes and delivering a reliable, professional service.
Key Responsibilities: In this role you will:
- Manage and triage the People Operations inbox, responding to routine enquiries and escalating where required
- Complete accurate data entry and updates in HR and payroll systems
- Maintain compliance registers and support audits and reporting requirements
- Prepare templated correspondence, including employee changes, variations and conversions
- Ensure documentation is accurate, approved and correctly filed
- Work collaboratively with People Operations, HRIS and People & Culture colleagues
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative efficiency and data quality
What you’ll bring:
- Experience in an administrative, HR operations or coordination role
- Strong attention to detail and confidence working with templates, systems and data
- Well‑developed organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
It would be advantageous if you also have the following experience:
- Experience with Success Factors
- Exposure to regulated or public-sector environments
- Familiarity with industrial agreements

Things we will require from you:
- Relevant compliance documents including Working with Children Clearance (WWCC), current police check, certified right to work documentation
