Role Type: Part time (0.4 FTE) ongoing, 2 days a week – flexible with days 
Remuneration:  starting 94,772.16 inclusive of 12% super (pro-rata, dependent on qualifications) 

 

About the role:
Join our team at Beechworth Correctional Centre as a CGEA (Certificate in General Education for Adults) Teacher, delivering classroom-based education to adult learners.  

You will teach a variety of units focused on improving Maths, English, and essential skills, including creative and project-based activities.  

You will become a part of a small, collaborative, and supportive team. We strongly focus on making a positive impact on students and the broader Victorian community. Your work will directly support the rehabilitation journey of individuals in custody, empowering them with the tools to reintegrate into society and pursue further education or employment.

What we are looking for: 

  • Flexibility, patience, and a caring approach to teaching diverse learners
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to a dynamic corrections environment
  • AQF level 7 or above teaching qualification 
  • Completed Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)
