About The Role:
In this vital role, you’ll deliver high-quality vocational education and training, conduct competency-based assessments, and support the rehabilitation and personal growth of your students. Working as part of a dedicated Corrections team, you’ll contribute to a collaborative and supportive environment focused on achieving positive educational outcomes.
Your teaching will go beyond the classroom—empowering individuals with the essential skills they need to succeed both during their time in custody and as they transition back into the community. Your commitment to education and rehabilitation will have a lasting impact, helping to transform lives and strengthen the broader prison community.
We are excited about you because you have:
- TAE40110 or TAE40116 (including TAEASS501 and TAELLN411) or higher VET teaching qualification
- Hold a relevant vocational qualification and/or demonstrate competencies at or above the level being delivered and assessed.
- Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Show a strong understanding of, and respect for, the diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds of students.
- Possess highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with large groups.
- Exhibit a confident, adaptable, and student-focused approach to teaching.
- Apply flexible teaching strategies tailored to individual learner needs and classroom dynamics.
- Be proficient in digital tools and platforms, including the Microsoft Office suite and other relevant IT systems.
