Role Type: Sessional 
Availablity:  Casual employment with two to three blocks of training per year 
Remuneration:   $ 90.07 per hour (dependent on qualifications) 

 

About The Role:  

As a Construction Skid Steer Teacher, you will deliver high-quality training and assessment in Civil Construction programs to adult learners within a correctional setting. Your role will include: 

  • Delivering accredited civil construction and pre-apprenticeship training aligned with industry standards and safety regulations
  • Supporting learners to build confidence and competence in construction skills and workplace readiness
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress, assessments, and compliance documentation
  • Creating a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learner needs
  • You’ll be part of a supportive team committed to providing vocational education that empowers learners and contributes to safer communities

 

We are excited about you because you have: 

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment 
  • Certificate III in Civil Construction, Certificate II in Building and Construction or Certificate II Supply Chain Operations (or equivalent)
  • Current White card (Construction Induction card)
  • Relevant and current civil construction experience
  • Experience delivering training in adult education or vocational settings (beneficial)
  • Effective communication skills for working in correctional settings
  • Computer proficiency
  • Compliance paperwork management
  • Ability to teach independently
  • Commitment to safety, inclusion, and learner success
